Validity: Tourist (up to 6 months); Business (up to 2 years); Transit (normally 72 hours, but 15 days if stamped by Immigration authorities). Long-term (up to 5 years).

Processing period 3-4 working days.

As of November 2010 the Indian High Commission have introduced an on-line visa form which must be completed and signed. We have simplified the procedure as much as possible so just follow our easy steps.
 
1. Print off the Benmar Customer Request Form by clicking on the red 'Download Visa Application' and fill in manually (disregard the Non UK Residents Supplementary Form, unless you are a non-resident and need to complete it).
 
2. Go to https://www.indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/ and fill in the form on line, you will need your passport and itinerary to hand as you do this. When you reach the question 'please click 'yes' for appointment and payment or 'no' to print the PDF only' click no, print the form and sign it in the two places indicated. This concludes the on-line form.
 
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED BY BENMAR: Completed application form (signed), passport valid for at least 6 months. 2 photos which must be 5cm x 5cm ( 2 inch x 2inch) square.. Business visa applicants need to present a letter from their employer stating the reason of the visit and an invitation from the company in India. Both the invite and company letter need to addressed to the India High Commission, Aldwych, London WC2.
Cruise passengers must provide a copy of their itinerary.
